How to Become an SMM Panel Reseller: Capital, Selling Price, and RisksLink to section How to Become an SMM Panel Reseller: Capital, Selling Price, and Risks
An SMM panel reseller is someone who buys social media services from a panel and then sells them on to customers at their own price. A reseller's profit is the difference between the buying price and the selling price. This article covers two ways to run it, how to calculate the selling price, the steps for using the API, and the risks to weigh before you start.
If you do not yet understand the basics, first read what an SMM panel is.
Two ways to become a resellerLink to section Two ways to become a reseller
1. Sell manually through a panel account. You order from the panel dashboard on behalf of your customers. Good for starting because you do not need to build anything: customers contact you by chat, you create the order, then you tell them the status.
2. Set up your own panel or app and connect it through the API. Customers order on your site, and orders are forwarded automatically through the API to the panel you use. Good once your order volume is large enough or you want your own brand. This way needs a domain, hosting, and basic technical skills.
Capital you needLink to section Capital you need
- Starting balance in your panel account. Orders are paid from the balance, so you need to fund it first.
- A sales channel. It can be social media, a marketplace, or your own site.
- For the second way: a domain, hosting, and time to set up and maintain the panel.
Start with a small balance, test a few services with small quantities, and record the results before selling in volume.
How to calculate the selling priceLink to section How to calculate the selling price
A full discussion, including the costs that are often missed and the break-even point, is in how to calculate SMM panel reseller profit. A summary:
The basic formula is simple:
- Buying price = the price per 1,000 you pay at your panel.
- Selling price = buying price plus the margin you want.
- Profit per 1,000 = selling price minus buying price.
Illustrative calculation (not Instanizer prices): if the buying price is Rp 10,000 per 1,000 and you sell at Rp 15,000 per 1,000, your profit is Rp 5,000 per 1,000, or about 33% of the selling price (a 50% markup on the buying price). For an order of 5,000 units, the gross profit is Rp 25,000.
Things that need to go into the calculation:
- Drop and refill. If a service has no refill and the count drops, you are the one who takes the customer's complaint. Consider selling only services with refill to customers who demand a stable count.
- Payment fees from your channel.
- Failed or partial orders. Prepare a refund policy for your customers.
Using the Instanizer APILink to section Using the Instanizer API
The Instanizer API uses the SMM panel API v2 format, so it can be connected to panels that support that format or called directly from a script. The steps:
- Sign up and log in to your Instanizer account.
- Open the API menu to create an API key. The key is shown only once, so keep it somewhere safe.
- Add balance through the Top Up menu.
- Fetch the service list with the
servicesaction. The price (rate) is already in Rupiah per 1,000, exactly as billed. - Create an order with the
addaction, then track it with thestatusaction.
Example request:
curl -X POST https://api.instanizer.com/api/v2 \
-d key=YOUR_API_KEY \
-d action=services
A few things that help your integration:
- Use
service(a stable numeric ID) from theservicesaction when creating orders. - Include an
idempotency_keyon theaddaction so that a repeated request does not create a duplicate order. - Re-fetch the service list periodically, for example once a day, because services can be added to or removed from the catalog.
- Order status is updated roughly every 10 minutes, so there is no need to check more often.
- The limits are about 300 requests per minute and 60 new orders per minute for each API key.
A step-by-step guide with code examples is in how to use an SMM panel API. The full documentation is in the API Documentation, and a summary is on the SMM panel API page.
Tips for running a reseller businessLink to section Tips for running a reseller business
- Explain the limitations to customers: speed, refill, and the possibility of drop. Overpromising creates complaints.
- Do not ask for passwords to customers' social media accounts. A link or username is enough.
- Record every order and its status so complaints are easy to handle.
- Start with just a few services that you have tested, do not sell the whole catalog.
- Watch prices at your panel. If the buying price goes up, update your selling price.
- Keep business and personal finances separate, and record income according to the applicable tax rules.
Risks to weighLink to section Risks to weigh
- Platform terms. Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms generally prohibit artificial interactions. Your customers' accounts risk being restricted, and you cannot guarantee otherwise.
- Dependence on the service or panel you use. Prices and availability can change. If a service changes or stops, your sales are affected too. It is better not to promise permanent availability.
- Customer complaints. Drop, delays, or results that fall short of expectations are the most common causes of complaints.
- Thin margins. If you compete only on price, profit is easily eaten up by costs and problem orders.
Frequently asked questionsLink to section Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum capital to become a reseller?Link to section What is the minimum capital to become a reseller?
There is no fixed figure. You only need a starting balance in your panel account and a channel to sell through. Start small and test first.
Do I have to have my own panel?Link to section Do I have to have my own panel?
No. You can start by ordering manually through your panel's dashboard. Your own panel is only worth considering once order volume is large.
Is the price in the API the same as on the Instanizer site?Link to section Is the price in the API the same as on the Instanizer site?
Yes. The price in the API is the price per 1,000 in Rupiah, with the same minimum, maximum, and refund rules as ordering through the site.
